IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Unfortunately anyone with a basic medical degree can perform cosmetic surgery in Australia. In fact Australian law allows any doctor, even your family GP, without having undergone formal surgical training to call themselves “cosmetic surgeons”.

As a safeguard, ONLY Plastic surgeons trained in Australia can have the letters FRACS (plast.) next to their names designating that they have spent at least an extra 10 years undergoing specialist training in plastic surgery. Please do your research thoroughly before choosing your plastic surgeon.
