Practice & Business Manager - Sheeva Tavakoli, BEconomics

Sheeva has run Dr Tavakoli's practice since 2004 with great efficiency and is now in charge of one of the busiest plastic surgery clinics in Australia. With her backgorund of economics and experience in the finance sector she has brought a defining edge to this modern 21st century surgical practice.

Sheeva is in-charge of overseeing all aspects of the practice including replying patient's emails, hospital quotes and listening to all types of client concern. Sheeva is extremely approachable and has extensive experience in the field of cosmetic and plastic surgery.

Personal Assistant & Therapist - Sonja Hawkins

Sonja is the senior consultant that has been with Dr Tavakoli since 2007. She performs the complimentary cosmetic surgery consultations and reports back to Dr Tavakoli. With huge amount of experience in plastic and cosmetic surgery she brings a high level of expertise to the team.

Sonja is also a trained therapist with extensive experience in wound care and dressings in Breasts, abdominal and facial surgery. Sonja has also over 20 years of experience in the skincare industry with extensive "hands -on" experience in lasers, chemical peels and abrasion therapy.

Accounts Manager & Consultant- Therese Harris

Therese Harris is our Patient Accounts Manager and has been working with Dr Tavakoli since early 2010. In the clinic she utilizes her bookkeeping background correlating patient accounts, prepares written correspondence for Dr Tavakoli and assists with Patient phone enquires. She has rapidly developed a sound knowledge of the cosmetic indusrty.

Therese is extremely dilligent with numbers and ensures you get the maximum return from your health fund and insurance providers.

Cosmetic Surgery Consultant- Abby Dowse

Abby is passionate about the cosmetic surgery industry, with a broad knowledge of many different aspects of cosmetic plastic surgery, specializing in breast augmentation.

Abby is committed to making patients feel comfortable and at ease. Her consultations are thorough with excellent understanding of each patient's wishes, and she is always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Senior Nurse Injector- Matty Samai, RN

Matty Samaei is no stranger to beauty and cosmetic medicine. Having worked as a cosmetic nurse for nearly 15 years. She is one of the founders of the "Botox movement" in Australia, and helped pioneer the "Liquid Facelift" using injectables as a more accessible alternative to traditional surgery options for facial reshaping.

Matty is without doubt one of the most experienced cosmetic practitioners in the Australasian region, having performed in excess of 40,000 injectable procedures during her career so far. This enables her to simply KNOW what works based upon her extensive years of practical experience in the field, hence you achieve the best results possible in the least time with the confidence that you are in the safest hands.

 

Practice Nurse- Jaclyn Issacs, RN

Jaclyn completed her Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 2006 and has worked since this time as a Registered Nurse at both The Hills Private Hospital & Norwest Private Hospital. She has had many years experience working with Dr. Tavakoli's patients both pre & post surgery and has a keen interest in the plastic/cosmetic surgery specialty. Jaclyn has excellent knowledge in Dr. Tavakoli's pre and post operative protocols and reports on all patients care directly to Dr. Tavakoli. Jaclyn is looking forward to an exciting career as part of Dr.Tavakoli's team.

 

 

   

DR TAVAKOLI's ANAESTHETISTS

Dr Tavakoli works with a selection of skillful and highly trained anaesthetists that are responsible for making sure your cosmetic surgery experience is pleasant and always extremely safe.

Dr Vincent DaSilva - BSc (Med) MBBS FANZCA

Dr DaSilva graduated from the University of NSW and spent the early part of his career in Intensive Care medicine before commencing his anaesthesia training at St George Hospital, Sydney. He also trained at The Royal Hospital for Women, The Children's Hospital at Westmead and St Vincent's Hospital before completing his Fellowship year with NRMA CareFlight. Following this he worked as a retrieval specialist with NRMA CareFlight and the NSW Ambulance Helicopter Rescue Service. His current clinical profile includes anaesthesia for plastic surgery, bariatric and upper gastrointestinal surgery, obstetrics, colorectal and liver surgery. He has a special interest in anaesthesia for trauma surgery and anaesthesia in the elderly and critically ill.

Dr Patrick Chung - MBBS (Honours 1st Class), FANZCA

Dr Patrick Chung graduated from Sydney University in 1994 with First Class Honours. He trained in anaesthetics at various hospitals including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Westmead Children's Hospital and Concord Hospital. He was awarded his Fellowship to the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2003.

He is currently accredited to perform both adult and paediatric anaesthesia at many public and private hospitals including Norwest Private Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital, Strathfield Private Hospital, Concord Hospital and Auburn Hospital.

He is keen to maintain and update his anaesthetic skills and knowledge by regularly attending various anaesthetic conferences including Neonatal Resuscitation Course 2004, Airway Management Technique Workshop 2007, Australian and New Zealand College Of Anaesthetists meeting 2008, Australian Society of Anaesthetists Annual Meeting 2011, Australasian Symposium on Ultrasound and Regional Anaesthesia March 2012.

He has a keen interest in the education of future anaesthetists and is an Anaesthetic Module Supervisor at Concord Hospital. He presented at the ACI 3rd Orthogeriatric Symposium in November 2011 on Best Anaesthetic Practice for Frail Orthopaedic Patients.

His current anaesthetic practice includes anaesthesia for both adults and children in the fields of plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopaedic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmologic surgery, obstetrics and gynaecological surgery and urological surgery.

 

Dr Kevin Lee - MBBS, FANZCA

Dr Kevin Lee graduated from The University of New South Wales with a degree in medicine in 1994. He practised medicine in Sydney and overseas and went on to obtain specialist qualifications in Anaesthetics. Post-graduate training was performed at Liverpool Hospital, Leighton Hospital (Crewe, UK), Canberra and Westmead Children's Hospital. His provisional fellow year was spent at Westmead Hospital. Kevin was admitted to be a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2003.

Kevin currently works as an Anaesthetist in both private and public practice. He currently holds privileges to practice in Anaesthesia at Prince Alfred Sydney Day Surgery, Norwest Private Hospital, North Shore Specialist Day Surgery, Castle Hill Day Surgery and Sydney South West Private Hospital. He is also a Visiting Medical Officer at The Bankstown Hospital and Liverpool Hospital in south-west Sydney, public teaching hospitals of the University of NSW.

Kevin provides anaesthesia and acute pain management for a large range of surgical specialties including Ear Nose and Throat surgery, Plastic surgery, General and Laparoscopic surgery, Laparoscopic Gynaecological surgery, Obstetrics, Lower Gastrointestinal surgery and Gastroenterology. Kevin also provides epidural pain relief at Norwest Private Hospital and Hurstville Private hospital. His public practice at Bankstown Hospital involves obstetrics, emergency anaesthesia and teaching of anaesthetists in training.

Kevin is a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists and Australian New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. He is one of the founders and director of Advance Anaesthesia, a group of highly skilled anaesthetists providing quality and caring anaesthesia services throughout Sydney.
