Terms: Labiaplasty, Labioplasty, Designer Vagina
Labiaplasty is a very personal topic to discuss but the truth is, a surprising number of women feel self-conscious about how their vaginas look. Protruding labia minora (inner lips) can also be uncomfortable, or even affect sexual satisfaction. Labiaplasty is a safe procedure that reduces the size of vaginal lips, for a result thats neater and more hygienic. Labioplasty (Labiaplasty) sculpts the overly long lips to a more satisfactory size.
Vagina surgery of the Labia requires research, consultation and time for decision-making as it is a personal topic, one that you may be uncomfortable to talk about. However, with pre-surgery consultation with Dr. Tavakoli, you can be confortable in that you are in safe hands.
Dr Tavakoli has performed more than 400 labioplasty operations in his private practice with a complication rate of only 2%. This is an operation that carries a very high satisfaction rate.Dr Tavakoli is a Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon with qualifications received from the highest Surgical Colleges (FRACS & ASPS) in Australia. Please be aware that any doctor with basic medical qualifications can perform Labioplasty in Australia. BEFORE & AFTER CASES
CASE 1: 36 year old mother of 3 suffered from severe physical symptoms of discomfort and irritation plus self-esteem issues after natural child birth. The latter resulted in excess Labial foldings and stretching of Clitoral hoods. Beofre photo demontrates Grade 3 excess folding and hooding. The results show a significant improvement in apperance of the vagina and patient reported marked reduction in physical irritation.

CASE 2: 21 year old girl suffered from self-esteem issues and difficulties relaxing during sexual intercourse. She has Grade 2 in size of the labia minora and slight skin excess in the region of the clitoral hood. After surgery the results demontrate a very "neat and tidy" finish to the vaginal region.

CASE 3:

Suitable Candidates for Labioplasty (Labiaplasty)
Patients that require the vaginal surgery are usually where there is elongation of the labia which causes irritation and a rash, discomfort in tight clothing, or discomfort during sexual interactions or simply makes the patient self-conscious.
Additionally the vagina surgery is ideal for those who had health conditions that affected their reproductive organ and/or their sex life.
Labioplasty Goal:
Labiaplasty is to remove the emphasis on labia minora and/or clitoral hood in women of any age
Labiaplasty is both for physical and psychological reasons
Labiaplasty can help improve sex life as large labial folds can impact on achiveing sexual gratification
Labiaplasty can correct the tears or deformity that can occur as a result of childbirth.
Labiaplasty can create more even appearance between your right and left sides
Labiaplasty can reduce the size or even remove labia minora.
Labiaplasty can be used for the correction of any scar contracture or distortion.
Clitoral Hood Reduction can reduce the size of the overhanging clitoral hood skin
Mons Pubis Liposuction reduces the fatty excess tissue in the pubic region
Labiaplasty is not vaginaplasty, ie it is not a tightening procedure of the vaginal canal. You need to see a Gynaecologist for this operation
Labioplasty Procedure:
Anaesthesia is light general and the labioplasty procedure is done in a fully accredited operating theatre.
There is mild discomfort.
The incision is very inconspicuous and is virtually imperceptible in time.
The labioplasty procedure involves small incisions to remove the scar, or excess tissue, or even the edges. The stitches are dissolvable and do not need to be removed.
Sensation and function are normal and well maintained, and not infrequently, enhanced.
No dressings are needed.
Labiaplasty is usually combined with other plastic surgical procedures such as Breast augmentation, Rhinoplasty or Tummy tuck.

Recovery from Labioplasty Surgery:
Overall recovery from the Labia/Vagina surgery usually requires a month and care.
You can go home right after the surgery.
You can resume normal everyday light activities the same or next day, and intercourse within 30 days.
You can shower on the next day after surgery.
There is only minimal pain that is mostly gone by the next day and usually requires mild painkillers.
Swelling is mild to moderate and peaks at two to three days then disappears rapidly over the next three weeks.
Minimal bruising is the usual.
No stitches to remove (dissolvable)
Usually need 7-10 days OFF work.
Outcome of Labiaplasty surgery :
Significant improvement in comfort.
Often more comfortable in certain clothing, especially snug pants.
Lasts the rest of your life.
Often reported to improve sexual relations by eliminating discomfort that was present prior to surgery.
