Do you need a Breast Lift in Sydney?

Are you thinking about getting a breast lift in Sydney? A lot of women who want to improve the look of their breasts certainly are! However you got to wonder if you really need a breast lift surgery in Sydney – what about breast augmentation instead or perhaps both?

Now a lot of women joke that they can simply “tuck their breasts into their shirt” and that issues about how their breast looks are not really that noticeable. However women are the most avid critics when it comes to their body. Many keep track of the subtle changes in their weight.

You probably know you’ve lost weight and the slightest reduction in breast volume or when you’ve gained some weight and how it’s affecting your figure. Hence you will surely know when your breasts have lost its perky form as it was in your younger years.

You don’t have to know the technical terms on how to go about it but it’s enough to notice that something is amiss about how your breast looks.

Some of the best breast lift surgeon in Sydney can take specific measurements from their patients to tell whether or not they would make an ideal candidate for breast lift in Sydney. Now you don’t need any special training to do these measurements yourself – all you need is a tape measure!

The cost of a breast lift in Sydney can be fairly significant and it is good to know if such a procedure is something that you really need even before consulting with a breast surgeon. Call Dr Tavakoli today on 1300 368 107 to book a consultation and knowing more about the measurements below.

Performing and interpreting breast measurements in determining the need for breast lift surgery

1. Locate your sternal notch (the grove on the base of the neck that is found in between the collar bones) and put the) 0 mark on your tap measure directly on it.

2. Position the tape measure at a diagonal angle towards one nipple then take note of the measurement

3. Repeat and do the same for the other nipple. Don’t be overly concerned if the measurements don’t match exactly– a small degree of asymmetry is normal as long as it is not noticeable.

Now that you’ve taken the measurements, what does it all actually mean? The question of whether getting a breast lift in Sydney is something that you need depends on the distance between your sternal notch and the nipples as well as the location in which most of your breast tissues are found (top – bottom).

If your measurement is 21 cm or below and your breasts are not bottom heavy, a breast lift is not required. A breast implant would be more effective if you desire a bigger breast size. If however your breasts are bottom heavy and sag significantly then you are an ideal candidate for a breast lift in Sydney.

Now if your measurements are somewhere between 22 to 23 cm and your nipples are located in the middle of your breast without being too bottom heavy, a breast lift isn’t required and breast implants are often recommended for women who want a bigger breast size. If however your nipples lean towards the lower part of your breast then a breast lift operation is something that you will certainly benefit from.

Women with a sternal notch to nipple distance of 24 centimeters or more are a good candidate for getting a breast lift in Sydney
